Hey, how are you? My name is Pippa Meadows Elliott, the founder of the Tipsy Moth Pottery, I am a ceramic artist mainly making small batch jewellery and homewares, I havent been a potter long (4 years means I’m still a novice), but have spent many years learning skills that enhance my pottery, including wedding cake making, watercolour portraiture, sewing and linocutting. My interests are in combining historical and modern pottery traditions into simple and beautiful romantic ceramics.

Small businesses cannot possibly compete with giant corporations that make billions using machines and although I do work long hours making and packing and photographing items, I run this business to keep my famiy out of poverty so that I can care for a loved one with dementia, I also suffer from chronic illness and the challenges of being Autistic and having ADHD. I don’t tell you this for sympathy or to look noble, I wish I didn’t have to share it, it just means that sometimes I do have to put work aside and do more important things, and that I might even have to stop altogether one day. I know I should be more communicative, post tonnes on instagram, sell myself as a personality, but most of the time it’s too exhausting to be that upbeat. My promise is that I will make beautiful things and sell them at a fair price, provide the best quality possible, dispatch as soon as I can and make your packages a lovely experience to open. Please speak to me if there’s any problems with your order, as you can see I’m pretty open about the process and I keep very high standards for my work, it’s important that we both are pleased with the way things go.

Postage

I offer UK delivery by Royal Mail, either by tracked 48 hour or 24 hour service. smaller items such as jewellery go by large letter delivery, I wrap pottery items up in recycled paper and eco peanuts or alternative, but I make them as pretty as I can first. I try to dispatch as fast as possible but I’m fussy and I like to make sure I am completely happy with your purchase before posting to you,
